https://instagram.com/p/C-5Ew0Lp2LC That's right, Cash Grab Cowboy Carter has taken another venture in the CPG space with a whisky called Sir Davis (SIRDAVIS), a reference to Davis Hogue her paternal great-grandfather who worked as a farmer and moonshiner. The whisky is owned by Moët Hennessy, part of the consumer goods conglomerate Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy.
She says: “I’ve always been drawn to the power and confidence I feel when drinking quality whisky and wanted to invite more people to experience that feeling,” Beyoncé says in a statement. “When I discovered that my great-grandfather had been a moonshine man, it felt like my love for whisky was fated. SirDavis is a way for me to pay homage to him, uniting us through a new shared legacy.” (OP Note: Beyonce is a fan of Japanese whisky hence why there is no 'e' traditional with American whiskeys.)
(also OP note: I just read this as her eyes haven't stopped twitching since Rihanna became a billionaire and I'll continue just getting my Reisling from the likka sto.)
Sadly, it is not a collaboration with Black woman owned whisky brand Uncle Nearest.
The bottle looks beautiful though.
