She’s been on this type of shit for years so I wonder why Imane’s response has her shook?

I'm guessing this is the first time a lawsuit was actually filed and she realized they have her ass just on screenshots.

i've seen a lot of people point out that it's because imane isn't actually trans, and therefor everything she's said is a lie and thus can be sued for libel or whatever, whereas if she had been trans, it might not be such a damning lawsuit. i think she's being sued for online harassment instead of libel but still

As long as her hateful ass is sued for the hurtful stuff she posts, I'm taking it, no matter what it is. If I had a say, she'd been in jail for hatecrimes.

I think the fear is because her go to defence is utterly irrelevant here. It's not a defamation suit where she can attempt to argue that it's a protected matter of opinion, or by pushing her shitty misogynistic and transphobic claim that Imane is a man as a matter of truth in fact. It's a harassment claim and she can't deny that she did in fact go on a negative posting rampage about Imane, or the pile on she's inspired in the process because... behold the world's media and the contents of Twitter. She can't delete everything.

I think so. I believe India Willoughby tried to take action once but did it via the police? but they didn't do anything.

I think people she has sued over their tweets in the UK tried to counter sue, and it's never worked out.

I think she realized this woman's got the backing of an entire country. Her money can buy her the best lawyers so she's usually confident in succeeding over smaller opponents. But I'm sure there are lots of top Algerian lawyers with expertise in French law offering to represent Imane and Jowling Kowling Rowling has realized she might be in over her head here.
