So she won’t get vaccinated but will eat a random berry from a stranger’s bush? Clueless as all hell

It doesn't even make sense within their argument because you wouldn't know what pesticides a random person is or is not using on their bush!

you really never know, my parents hired a seemingly eco-friendly dude to redo their yard and he used roundup on it 😦

I can’t walk thru a parking garage in LA without seeing warnings of toxic offgassing, etc

At this point I’m just done worrying about it. There’s microplastics in the water and other shit in the air… I’m just gonna live and do my best to eat good things and not be a dumbass eating random berries I don’t know a damn thing about.

To be fair, our Prop 65 warning law is not very useful and either frightens people or blunts their sense of danger to actual threats. Like yeah, lots of buildings contain lead, but you're fine if you don't eat the paint.

It drives me insane, the whole 'clean' beauty crap just grinds my gears. "We're chemical free!" Oh, so there is literally nothing in your jar? You have vacuum removed all the air?

See also "it's natural!" as if natural = automatically good for you. Ya know what else is natural? Arsenic.

I hate the use of the word clean as it’s being used for food/skincare/etc.

I make candles for a living and I cannot tell you how many times I've had to explain to peope that soy wax- which is produced through multiple hexane chemical baths- is in no way safer or more natural than paraffin. (They're both highly refined and safe though.) Or the people who need to be told that you can't just put any essential oil in a candle. Some of them are literally neurotoxic to pets when combusted by flame.

Greenwashing drives me nuuuuuuts

I saw a hilarious thread on reddit once where someone tried to explain to an idiot that strawberries were made of chemicals. The willful ignorance jumps out.

And just randomly grabbing something off a fenced-in tree on someone's property? Even if the branch is within reach, I don't understand why she had to take it. Imagine looking out your window and seeing some woman picking at your plant, lol.

There's a berry bush at the edge of one of my neighbours' lawns. It drops fruit every year and stains the sidewalk. I'm pretty sure they're inedible, and not once has it occurred to pop one into my mouth to see.
