Nope. They flat out said in an interview once that they are not friends because they are very different people.

The story at the time was always just that they weren’t particularly close as anything more than work colleagues, but that they didn’t hate one another or anything, although seeing some of those sly digs at Leighton now is making me wonder. (The monkey one is just Blake being silly I think/nbd, but the gesturing at Leighton as she says that some of us were born in cages was wild to me. And oof Leighton’s face after Blake’s comment on everyone knows that blonde people are nicer also seemed extremely telling)

I vaguely remember Blake being overheard once complaining very loudly and being fed up over their scenes in Paris being all focused around the Chuck and Blair show, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there wasn’t some professional jealousy coming through at Blair being the breakout fan favourite who ended up getting much more of the focus when Serena was originally meant to be the star. Dan/Serena were supposed to be the main couple in the beginning as well, only to get completely overshadowed by Chuck and Blair

Nope, you are correct. She's talked about it previously and iirc, they even worked that storyline into her character's backstory when she filmed Country Strong.
