I rewatched it this year and apparently I’d completely missed how horribly cheesy it was the first time lol Rachel’s character is so incredibly dull and it’s only salvageable bc she’s a very charming actress.

The scene with the father @ the sound of Nick Cave is beautiful tho, highlight of the film ❤️

I made the mistake of watching this movie a couple of months after my mom passed away and that scene ended me 😭

Yes, Rachel McAdams' character is one of the most thinly drawn romantic interests in a rom com ever - so I can't really take the romance of the film seriously. Her one distinct character trait is that she loves Kate Moss? That's the most asinine personality detail ever.

I saw this on a plane and I was almost crying, even though I know it's sappy as hell. It's better than The Time Traveler's Wife, though! How did Rachel McAdams end up in two movies with basically the same plot four years apart? LMAO

She incredibly not only made two time traveling romcoms, but also two memory loss ones ( the notebook and the vow)😅

Well, Time Traveler's Wife is def not a romcom at least LMAO. Not unless you count [Spoiler (click to open)]questionable levels of accidentally grooming a child and the husband dying a gruesome death comedy. But in the tv series version, the husband as a teen travels back in time only a short time and meets himself and gives himself a blowjob! I guess that's comedic?

Makes me cry basically every time I watch it. I don't think I'd like it with any leads other than Domhnall Gleeson and Rachel McAdams though. They truly made that movie.
