Every clip I've ever seen of it has been against my will and left me feeling depressed at the state of the world.

Same. I tried to watch it during the early seasons, because it was so popular and got so much acclaim, but I immediately regretted it. It was so painfully bad.

I've watched a few clips online over the years and some of them made me want to throw my computer out the window. Judging by them, the show became even worse.

i binged 5 seasons of this show while bored out of my mind during a holiday visit home and had to stop because i got tired of waiting for something, anything to happen.

nothing. happens. in. this. show. it's bananas that it was so successful.

I enjoyed it during the first two seasons but then quit half way through season 3. I caught some random later episodes while it was still on air and it just confirmed to me I made a good decision by quitting.

I thought the first two seasons were good.

My in-laws would put the TBBT marathon on Christmas Day when we go visit. Luckily we don't stay overnight there anymore so it's just half a day spent there and peace out.
