Yep. My mom worked for them for 20 years and saw some crazy in her time. The USPS will go out of their way to watch and document you doing wrong before saying anything so when they finally swoop in with arrests you are truly fucked. She used to say it was a bad day when the Postmaster showed up with the marshals because that meant someone who worked there was going to get arrested.

Did she work with or say anything about people who "went postal"?

No, just people stealing, lol. I remember her talking about a young lady who was a seasonal employee one Christmas sorting packages and one tore open in the sorting machine. It was a box of chocolates and instead of retaping the box and manually sorting it she opened and ate them. She got fired on the spot, and when she tried to lie about it the postmaster took her into the training room and showed video of her doing all of that, lol.

Another time was more serious as it involved a supervisor and two other employees who were stealing checks. Higher ups found out and filmed them thieving for months, then the Postmaster and the marshals swooped in and arrested everyone. Everyone involved got serious jail time too. USPS don't fuck around.
