August 16, 2024 The former lead singer of band Hedley, Jacob Hoggard was found guilty in June 2022 of sexual assault causing bodily harm against an Ottawa woman and later sentenced to five years behind bars.
He was immediately released on bail pending appeal.
The appeal decision was released by the court today, unanimously rejecting the premise forwarded by Hoggard's lawyers, which was that the court was wrong to allow a clinical psychologist, Dr Lori Haskell, to testify on on the neurobiology of trauma.
Hopefully he will be behind bars soon.
