Dan Stevens on Hunter Schafer: "Delightful to realize not every job needs to be like Euphoria"

Dan Stevens thinks the #Euphoria set was a little cuckoo and he wasn’t even on the show.

“Her [Schafer] only experience prior to this was working on ‘Euphoria,’ which is a very, very different experience, and by all accounts, not a terribly pleasant one.” https://t.co/plWiBe9AlE

He seems really lovely. And he's got a great, varied resume.

Most people will disagree, but imo getting killed off Downton was the best professional decision he ever made. That show's writing got worse with every season.

It works so badly for almost everyone else but I think he really hit the ground running with it. I think because he's willing to take on strange and smaller parts, and didn't just expect to handed leading man roles right after.

I think his willingness to go all in with comedy helped too. I remember when he was cast in the Eurovision movie and was NOT into it, but he threw himself into it in a way that really endeared me.

He definitely has a great sense of humor about himself, which is not something I can say for a lot of leading men who leave the shows that made them famous.

I can’t believe I watched the entire series and movies tbh. Such a high budget soap opera.

Someday Fellowes will find a way to strike that balance between too much going on (Downton) and nothing going on at all (The Gilded Age). Never too old to try Julian!

For selfish reasons, I would've liked if he had stayed. Him and Michelle had lovely chemistry.
But in terms of his career, I agree.

I bet a certain other person killed off season 3 wishes her career would have been more like his.

I was looking at his filmography and his villain roles are edging towards Tim Curry levels - like he's hot but freaky in The Guest but also he voiced the Parakeet in The Boy and the Heron?? Absolutely chills lol. Plus he was fantastic in Legion. But then he can switch over and do these lovely romances too?

He also does audiobooks, and his voice is great for them.

I didn't realize I'm apparently a Dan Stevens fan I guess?

He was so hot in The Guest. Am I remembering right--was that his comeback role?

I'm not sure how many he's done but I've listened to him do some of the classics like Agatha Christie and the Illiad/Odyssey back when I had audible:

(obviously this will bring up a lot of junk since he has a common name, but almost every one of the most popular/recognizable titles is him)

It was the Eurovision movie where I realized I was a fan.
