These kinds of tiktok things are fun for like one day and then it's severely overused and corny. And then you know it's over when you see like, the Home Depot tiktok account comment "very demure, very mindful" on someone's video.

Actually, while we're on the subject of tiktok brain rot speak - I was at a park the other day and there was an older woman with a dog. When people would come up to pet the dog, the owner would say "she's very friendly, but she does not like men." and one girl said "omg girly pop, same. Men are trash" and it was just so corny. I didn't think anyone spoke like that in real life.

I say girly pop but mostly to my neighbors cat.

I hate this demure thing. It is like 80% of my instagram currently.

haha calling pets or babies girly pop is ok in my book. I just thought it was corny in that context.

i could never be an influencer because the second a brand account commented on my video i'd be like "begone, brand! scram!"

i went on vacation with my friend's family and her 8 year old daughter was calling people "girly pop" all the time, which I found to be very cute and now use jokingly but had no idea it came from TikTok lmao

I know people use it positively, but girly pop sounds so passive aggressive to me. Like when I use honey or sweetie to essentially call you a dick.

That's exactly how my coworkers use it, which became how I use it. Same with "babe". It's not so much passive, though, as it's always used after an explicit criticism. Like, "not how you do that girly pop"

once either the brands get involved or it leaves tiktok, the meme is dead.

kids only talk in meme. i work with families and everyday i have to hear their kids say "what the sigma" at least 50 times, to everything.
