very interested to see what she does with her next album. each time she has a comeback she goes a completely different direction... but bc this has been her most successful era, will she try to make a brat pt 2? something more commercial now that the mainstream is paying more attention? and what does her label think of all this I wonder?

she's very rebellious in the way she makes her music, so my first assumption is she'll continue to do what she's been doing and do a full 180, even if it means it won't reach brat's success... but idk this kind of prosperity is new territory for her, so will she be seduced by the taste of popularity?? i'm so intrigued

She's gonna continue to try to chase the trend like she always does

Even if you don't like her or her music, I don't get this criticism at all. What do you mean? Since Vroom Vroom EP she's been a pretty consistently experimental pop artist. Hyper pop is way past its peak or newness but she was absolutely one of its pioneers before it worked its way into mainstream. She's also made constant collaboration a part of her work. Can you get specific?

I am a fan of her music! I liked Crash. I meant she's pandering so hard to genzee to the point they think she's one of them. I just feel like she's obsessed with hitting the mainstream while trying to act like she doesn't care and is above it.

Oh okay, I get you. I know Crash was her most commercially successful album but I think she expected it to do a lot better. And has since kind of disowned it? Although from day 1 she called it her sellout era. I feel like she should be satisfied with brat's success especially b/c it has been so critically acclaimed but I never really know with Charli. I don't "get" her wrt her personality or who she is and what she believes. I think part of what made this album so great was that it felt like she was being pretty real.

Didn't crash bomb? To me it feels more like brat is the sellout era and she's had more success with it. Good4ha tho she getting what she wanted.

Crash was her most commercially successful album up until that point but that's not saying much, even Sucker didn't do that well. I think it still underperformed for her/ her label expectations
