This has been the best season of BB in years.

They hired a new casting director to assist with casting (I believe it's someone who also casts Traitors US). This cast has been quite refreshing so far, imo.

I do like the AI Arena twist as it essentially removes the backdoor option, which I always felt was unfair so early on when the backdoor target would never even get 1 chance to save him/herself as it's very easy to NOT get picked for veto when there are so many HGs left. Though I think the arena twist will end this week, and another twist will start.

The other big improvement was that production has improved the competitions, and they feel equitable again (like they did in early BB). Over the last handful of seasons, the competitions felt skewed to favor athletic types. That was one of the primary criticisms on Twitter last year. Production seemed to actually listen for once and fixed the competitions to be more equitable. Now, even those that do have a physical component (i.e. the balance beam one) also have a strategic element mapped into it. So finally - it feels like anyone can win comps again.

Also the lack of a dominant alliance steamrolling the house has kept it from getting boring.

And finally - Angela and Tucker are CHAOS! They may not necessarily be the best social game players, but they sure do make good TV!

I wonder if it's the same team from Reindeer Games because I did quite like how those competitions ended up shaking out (though it kills me that Danielle might've still been upset with Brittany because of the hamster wheel heading into Traitors).

People seem to think the AI instigator sounds like America's Player reborn, but we'll find out.

I like AI arena for the live eviction episodes too. It gives things a certain suspense. Though lol at how Julie keeps trying to get the losers to campaign for a minute before final speeches.

I laugh at Julie over that too. That kind of last minute strategy scrambling only ever works on double eviction episodes where they have to make noms and veto replacements with mins.

It doesn’t make sense after the arena because the house has already made up their minds on their primary target and also their backup one if the primary wins the arena.
