I know artists pose for Madam Tussaud's figures so that's the only museum I would consider to visit tbh

I'm not sure about all of them, but I recall Pierce Brosnan said for his (as James Bond) they used a laser measuring device on every visible part of his body. And they took hundreds of photos of him.

I remember from when I was in the tokio hotel fandom, when Madame Tussaud did a wax figure of Bill, there was an article behind it with him doing also all the measurements and I remember them having like 20 different fake brown eyes, to find the best match for his eye color.

That's because at MT they consider wax casting as an art form with everything that entails (research, attention to detail, etc). I would go to MT too!
