Idk if it's a Gen X thing in general ('cause their friends and significant others seem the same way), but 70s-and-80s born siblings are almost permanently stuck in a 16 year old mentality (and MIND BLOWINGLY bad with money... one was making roughly 900k / year and had not one single dime in savings, nor any college funds for her children. Just endless vacations and shopping sprees for years until she blew it).
