River was also speaking out against the Children of God cult shortly before his death, while Joaquin minimised his family's presence in the cult. I am sure he has a lot of trauma, but still.

Also there's something hinky about the way Kate Mara just completely disappeared off the scene after they got together, when she was previously a huge rising talent in Hollywood. That feels like a very high control relationship to me, if not worse.

My bad, I said Kate Mara, the first thing I have to do is correct that I meant to type **Rooney Mara (Kate's sister-Kate is married to Jamie Bell).

I don't know a lot about them, just that Rooney was one of those ubiquitous up and coming actors who it felt like was popping up in everything, à la someone like Cailee Spaeny these days, and then the minute they got together, she's practically nowhere to be seen unless it's on the red carpet with him (I can think of one semi-high profile thing she's done since they got together) and he's meanwhile still acting in a million things. Afaik there isn't anything that outright indicates he's keeping her from having a career anymore, he's just got a narcissistic vibe I really don't like.

Maybe she slowed down after having their baby, but it'd still suck if having a child slowed her career but his just kept flourishing.
