it’s interesting he’s making these back handed comments but if i’m not mistaken the whole cast unfollowed him on IG and didn’t interact with him even at the premiere which makes me believe he was the problem….but i also don’t know anything about any of this just that the cast unfollowed him and didn’t interact with him during press or premiere so 🤷🏻‍♀️

From what I’ve seen of this mess, which comes strictly from ONTD posts, I think there was a sense that he wanted to focus more on the realities of DV. Blake and Ryan seemed like they wanted to make a rom com, and it created a big division. In press junkets Justin is talking about the DV aspect, while the rest of the cast are making pies and taking about their favorite flowers.

I don’t like Blake and Ryan, this Justin guy does seem nice, but no one really knows and it’s a lot of conjecture. Blake has a lot more power in Hollywood, but it’s not unusual for a seemingly “nice” guy be a dick. Clearly, neither party wants to address it and it’s awkward, I think people should just let it be

But where’s the fun in that?

I’m sure it’s probably a case of everyone sucks. And Blake and Ryan are getting the barbs because they are more known.

lol yeah. I mean i’d like to know but idk i think people here really just dont like Blake and Ryan, which understandable, so people are making up reasons why there was a falling out solely based on that lol

there's 0 reason for that to be the case and for no one to have said anything lol, it would only add to the press for the movie. "dont worry darling" was full of newcomers and c-listers and like 2 days into the junket the full tea was already out. blake and ryan are a-listers, they have 0 reason to protect this nobody.

yeah p much every declarative statement I've seen anyone make about this alleged feud is just very obvious projection lol. people believe what they want to believe. I have a hunch this is all either a nothingburger or at the very least not nearly as straightforward as everyone who has strong feelings about various parties would like it to be

Well, I think there’s also the fact that if there’s a sequel, the other actors want to come back, so that’s probably why they’re taking such a public side while not saying anything bad about the director

the streets are saying Blake and Ryan got all pushy and controlling. they have more power than he does.

The article doesn’t make them sound backhanded at all.

Idk what went down but if there's a possibility of a sequel and the cast wants to be involved it would behoove them to stay on the good side of the untalented micromanagers with fuck-you money and clout and not the green director who's clearly not going to be asked back.

well if justin was succsesful in potraying the dv as horric as the book unintentionally does

the backlash will make this series box office poison in the future

tbf ryan and blake give me major high school energy so they could have even tried to turn the cast against justin if they didn't get along with him. not defending justin but it's a possibility lol.

What gives me pause is that Blake/Ryan are also friends with Taylor Swift who had all of her friends mass unfollow Joe Alwyn following their breakup. It wouldn’t surprise me if they tried something similar with the cast involved with this movie since they’re the “bigger” names

The cast also didn’t interact with him at the premiere and Jenny Slate avoided answering a cast question about him at the premiere. It’s not just the unfollowing on ig. It’s the complete avoidance during promo and even at the premiere that’s weird.

Blake and Ryan have history with this kind of shit. So I don't trust Mr and Miss Plantation at all. I hope tiktok takes them down a peg.
