This was the first thing I thought of when I learned how involved Reynolds has been in this production. If his wife has any success, he can claim it's only because of him; if she fails, well she's just his little blondie so no big. He and Lively seem like birds of a feather (see other comment here about their pettiness) so I doubt she's struggling in the marriage, but it's certainly a curious definition of Power Couple if he has to shoehorn his fingerprints all over her projects to feel good about them.
