What the hell is she doing? I have trouble believing this is the music she want to make and the stories she wants to tell as a 40 year old. The song is dated af and uninteresting and the visuals are cheap and 2012-tumblr like. She needs to stop.

IA. But the reality is, the music she wanted to make didn't really hit so she ran back to Dr.Luke to secure a hit.

I would respect her more if she was doing what she likes and really wants to do, even if it flopped tbh. This shit is for literally nobody. She deserves to fail and should be ashamed of herself.

If she had done any promo for Never Really Over I think she could have used that as a pivot. That was her last great single, even if that song basically is just a rewrite of Dagny

I had that shit on repeat when it came out. I remember it was released around the same time as her appearing in the music video for "You Need to Calm Down" with Tay, and I honestly thought Katy had the superior single.

If she had used the Taylor Swift promo well and actually marketed that single, it really could have been something. It felt like she had ascended beyond the kitschy "I HAVE BIG BLUE EYES AND I PULL DISNEY FACES" era of her career. Now she's backslid right back into that.

I agree. That song really could've been a turning point for her.

that song is amazing and it just did not hit like it should have.

This is such a good point. Honestly, there would be such a market for good pop music from the earnest perspective of a 40 year old. Someone that isn't her should do that.

tbh I think that's what LOVE P!nk and Kelly Clarkson aim for

I keep wondering how many albums are left in her contract with Capitol.
