I always see people in her position claiming death threats, but never showing proof. It's just like a gotcha to garner sympathy...they claim death threats and then it turns to "she's getting death threats, people!" and then the swarm of ~compassion~ comes their way.

i can't remember what it was exactly but in a similar situation on twitter, ppl looked into the death threats and it was actually ppl telling the girl getting backlash "kill yourself" rather than outright death threats of "i'm coming to your house and murdering you" - not saying that isn't a bad thing either ofc
