Honestly they do seem like a good match, vibes-wise. Feels much stronger than the Clinton-Kaine ticket. I understood objectively why Clinton went with Kaine, but they just never seemed to match each other's vibes and the actual vibes were "we need a white man who ticks off the following boxes". Harris' approach (going through a list of potential candidates known to the public in rapid-fire meet and greets) also let the public feel like they were in on the conversation. I think it has really helped increase engagement and buy-in from prospective Dem voters who are understandably very tired of being told what the party is doing, rather than being asked what the party should be doing. I'm on the outside looking in but I actually feel hopeful for a change, and have since Biden stepped down, which is nice. Fingers crossed this continues until the election.

Serious question - why did Clinton choose Kaine as her running mate? He's one of my senators and I like him a lot, but I have never understood why she thought a "boring" (his own self-descriptor!) white man was the way to go.
