OP, you are simply the greatest for making these posts week to week. I hear there's a reunion for this show soon, but I'm not sure if it will be shown on netflix. I'm looking forward to it though, and I hope there will be translations available. Now onto my final thoughts!

[Spoiler (click to open)] Ok, I will get Dai and Shun out of the way first, because they ate up so much screen time these last two episodes. I was relieved they got together in the end because I was already over the drama many episodes ago. They clearly deserve each other. Overall, Dai had received a good balanced edit than Shun did in that we got to see many aspects of Dai's personality both good and bad. Whereas with Shun, we barely saw any positive traits and interactions he had with other contestants and that really colored the viewers perception of him on the show. That's still no excuse for the manipulative behavior he showed to Dai.

Alan also had a great balanced edit. I thought he was a standout these last two episodes and he really curbed that impulsive and energetic side to him that we saw in the earlier episodes. It was sweet to see how emotionally sensitive he was to others in the house. You can just see it in his eyes when he talks and listens to them. I still stand by what I said in earlier posts that this show needed someone like him in the group, who could offer a different perspective and be more upfront with his opinions, thoughts and feelings. I also thought he helped foster a culture within the house where it was okay to openly hug each other and show friendly affection towards one another. I'm glad the others saw him as a positive influence overall.

Ikuo showed a lot of growth with his limited time in the house. He walked in there with the best intentions and youthful energy and he saw first hand how inexperienced he was with conflict resolution and dealing with rejection. I'm sure those were some good life lessons he could take from being on the show.

Gensei - I had a soft spot for him and I was rooting for him and Ryota. I wish he had stayed and enjoyed the last dinner with the others. However, I respect that he chose to leave early after realizing his feelings were not being reciprocated by Ryota.

Ryota, on the other hand, oof...that last ditch appeal to Kazuto was so awkward and I could not physically watch it out without cringing. I think he still has more growing to do emotionally and must learn to deal with rejection better. Kudos to him for taking such a huge risk I guess.

I thought Kazuto handled himself really well dealing with all the love confessions he was getting. I appreciate how mature and honest he was in expressing his own feelings and thoughts to others while being considerate of their feelings for him. It must have been really exhausting, though, and I could see the emotional toll it had on him in the house. I'm glad he decided to take things slow with Alan and see how the relationship would unfold. Although I still think he's more compatible with Usak lol.

And last but certainly not least, Taeheon! My king! I'm so sorry no one in that house took notice of you. You deserve all the attention you're getting now though for being so slept on! I thought the few moments we got with Taeheon in the show were sorely needed to balance the romantic drama that was DaixShun. He talked about important personal issues that almost all gay men experience with coming out to their parents, and he had a lot of great wisdom to share with the younger men. The funniest moment was him mentally checking out at the table after Dai got upset with Ikuo over Shun. Everyone else peaced TF out quick lmao.

I genuinely wonder how many good moments Shun shared with the other house guests though. I know he and Ryota were close but I felt he was pretty disrespectful to the others at times. Two things come to mind: winning that race and then not choosing to use the reward which basically meant no one could use the reward. The other moment was when he was upset by a conversation Dai and Alan were having and he was rolling his eyes and pushing his head back. All that being said, maybe he just needs to talk to a specialist if he hasn’t already been or maybe he simply just needs to grow up. I really appreciated when Taehon had a talk with him about apologizing to Dai.

Also yeah I was kind of shocked that Ryota tried AGAIN with Kazuto. I felt like Kaz was clear with him the first time he rejected him. All the texts, all the 1:1 meetings, it was just really cringey.

I love and agreed with everything you said about Alan.

Taehon may have not found romance but his storyline was very impactful and I loved his wisdom

[Spoiler (click to open)] I definitely could have said more about Shun, but it would have been a laundry list of negative behaviors lol. I didn't feel like mentally exhausting myself when there was so much more positive things I could say about the other men on the show! I totally agree with you that he's the one who needs the most growth, and I think that will come with more time and experience. I also thought Taeheon was a great mentor and friend to Shun and I noticed he was able to give Shun feedback in a lighthearted way when he had to leave the house.
