This episode was fine, maybe even good, but nowhere near as good as all those early reviewers were overhyping it up as. The pacing has been so awful. And I need the writers to find something substantial for Alicent to do because why are we wasting screentime on her floating in the lake?
but how are you telling me this woman that has been served her whole life didn’t require any handmaiden for her camping trip yea right like she could change on her own
Did y'all miss her taking over her own care in like episode 1 or 2? Whenever it was that Larys told her he'd handpicked all her maids. It's why her dresses and hair have all been simplified this season, because Alicent is doing it herself
No 😭 We even got whole extended sequences of her struggling to undress herself in episodes after that first bath scene. I know Alicent's scenes can be boring, but they are there and they are saying something. It's kinda been her whole plot this season, not trusting the Red Keep and the people in it and isolating herself more and more.
Her entire story this season is about her isolation. Even from her maids. Who Larys hand chose for her. Who is untrustworthy and further distancing himself from her, aligning closer with Aemond.
I think alot of people have missed this part of her story.... But also ... It is her only story this season lol

Absolutely 👏🏽
Honestly, I think a lot of people barely pay attention to this show and then wanna complain about stuff not making sense. I've really enjoyed this poetic, meditative journey Alicent's been on this season. Can't wait to see where it lands her next week and how it sets up her season 3 arc.
i'm glad you made all these comments bc i literally remember none of this. i've fallen asleep during every single episode this season and have clue wtf is happening. i've never been so bored watching a second season of a show where the first season was so interesting.
I was gonna make a joke about her handling the hot bricks she was using for warmth after taking the moon tea, but you got me thinking about her plot this season
