Mr. Beast, one of the biggest YouTube celebrities on the internet, is in hot water for several controversies. Real name Jimmy Donaldson, he began his career as a streamer. During his streams, he would often make offensive jokes and use slurs. However, he successfully rebranded as a family-friendly charity channel which now has millions of followers. He became notorious for his stunts in which he would give away large amounts of cash to the homeless and other marginalized people. These videos could be controversial because he would offer large sums to people who did humiliating acts such as eating an entire ghost pepper.

Some of the controversies surrounding him include:
  • He joked about buying a Black slave. For example, someone asked him if he would purchase a n----- for $400. He replied, "The most I would pay is $300. Sorry, $400 is just out of my price range for that type of stuff." He did not say the actual n-word. (thank you, sandstorm)
  • He said the homophobic f-word repeatedly, too, including calling someone a "stupid f-----" repeatedly.
  • Staff members claim that he created a toxic and hostile work environment in which he berates and belittles his staff.
  • A team member of his channel, Ava Tyson, recently resigned after allegedly sending inappropriate messages to a teenager.
  • On a podcast, Mr. Beast was discussing a 14-year-old Bhad Bhabie (Danielle Bregoli) and said, "Let's be real, you wouldn't put your dick in her?"

Rosanna Pansino, another popular YouTuber, recently made a viral TikTok that called him out for the alleged mistreatment of contestants on Beast Games, Mr. Beast's Squid Game-esque competition show on his YouTube channel. Nearly 100 cast members of Beast Games claim that:
  • People were having seizures, broken bones, and stitches and not receiving medical care.
  • Male contestants would physically harm, tackle, and even hit other contestants, often injuring them, without any repercussions.
  • They received meals of only 400 calories per meal and were only fed every 12 hours. People would fight each other and steal food.
  • They got only 3 hours of sleep.
  • One woman had to sit in a bloody sanitary pad for two days.
  • They were offered $1,000 to sign a contract agreeing not to join a class action lawsuit.
