July 26, 2024 - Videos surfaced of Coppola grabbing the extras and kissing them
- The actresses had been specifically told they would be in a scene in which they were topless or scantily clad. It was a club scene in which there were 200 extras
- Coppola jumped into shots and kissed and groped some of these women
- 2 pro Coppola sources went on the record, one to claim Coppola was trying to energize the cast, the other to claim the set was professional
- Another anonymous source however said that directors usually, you know, direct and simply tell actors "High energy". They say they have never been on a set where directors or crew touch the actors
- Coppola hired intimacy coordinators who were not on set for that scene
- The entire movie was self-funded by Coppola meaning there was no HR or typical checks and balances to prevent this kind of harassment
