Yeah, this is a strangely worded post IMO. Like saying you hope someone’s kid won’t be gay bc they’re a homophobe, as if that stance makes any difference on the overall point, which is the person’s awfulness.

Or hoping the kid will be gay as a way to “get back” at the homophobe when it’s really the child who will ultimately suffer the most.

They're trying to appeal to people like Vance's humanity and empathy, of which there is none. So...

Clearly, I just dislike the implication that the daughter will want children or see them as a blessing. I'm fully aware that Jennifer isn't responsible to contemplate every single struggle in one paragraph, nor do I expect her to, but this is the type of seemingly harmless speech that continues to perpetuate the idea that motherhood is somehow inherent to the experience of being born with a uterus.
