Crowdstrike Hands Out $10 UberEats Gift Cards -- Like their Update, Those Don't Work Either

CrowdStrike is offering its partners a $10 Uber Eats gift card as an apology.

When TechCrunch checked the voucher, the Uber Eats page provided an error message that said the gift card “has been canceled by the issuing party and is no longer valid.” https://t.co/4UshB92ntP

A follow-up to this post. Bay-bay, the Crowdstrike C-Suite is going through it. After the ramifications of testing an update in production has practically stopped air traffic, Crowdstrike has sent its partners $10 UberEats gift cards. Not their enterprise customer partners, but the people who have been tasked with trying to fix this hot mess. Clarification: the gift cards were offered to client partners who use Crowdstrike essentially B2B, but not to customers of those partners.

HOWEVER, WHEN ATTEMPTING TO USE THE GIFT CARDS, RECIPIENTS WERE HIT WITH AN ERROR MESSAGE AND THEY COULDN'T GET A SUBSIDIZED SWEETGREEN.

Some recipients believed the email with the link was part of a phishing scam, until Crowdstrike had to confirm that the non-functional gift card links were a legit attempt as an apology.

It's just a fucking mess as CEO George Kurtz must now testify in front of Congress and well, he's having a hard time with crisis management as seen below:
