Most people with no Hollywood connection can’t even get to the door, that’s where the nepotism comes in.
"Did it potentially open some doors for me? Sure. I can’t argue that. “ It didn’t “potentially” open doors, it DID open doors, that’s how you were able to get in.
This is the part that drives me insane. I know from experience, the hard part is getting in the door, everything after that is waaaay easier. Nepotism has skewed the opinion of people like her so significantly that they really think the easy part is the hard part and since there are SO MANY nepobabies, they have managed to use their enormous platform to spread their completely wrong message. The extra sad part is she's much closer to getting the reality of the situation than the average nepobaby and she STILL doesn't get it.
Not only that, growing up with family in the industry means she has aunties and uncles in the industry she could run to if she ever needed help or had questions--that type of resource is invaluable. At the very least, it gives her a little more confidence to say "no" than anyone without connections. This is one thing a lot of these nepotism discussions always leave out.
She can also afford to be selective. She doesn't need money. She can act r it act. Someone will probably help fund a film she decides to make because she can
This is what pisses me off. Just admit that it opened doors that other actors who have no connections can't even get close to. And they make it even worse when they treat nepotism as a hindrance
