Over eight episodes, “Presumed Innocent” followed former chief deputy prosecutor Rusty Sabich, who was on trial for the murder of his lover and colleague Carolyn Polhemus.
Usually finales to mysteries (i.e. who did its) can often be very disappointing if the writing/plot isn't super sharp (and people on Reddit were going crazy with their own theories before the finale). But this one actually got me and most people seem rather satisfied with the finale.
[Spoiler (click to open)]I never read the book or saw the original movie, but the ending of those did get spoiled to me a few weeks ago. Glad the new show pivoted a bit with a twist. The acting performances from the entire cast was phenomenal.
The characters were great. I have to say that Joshua Jackson’s performance felt the weakest to me though. I don’t want to compare the show to the movie but at least Michael Douglas had this douchy charisma while Jackson’s portrayal was just plain douche lol.
Plus I love Toby Huss and it would have been nice to watch him in something regularly again.
