Challengers wrapped in June 2022! she has only filmed a few commercials since.

i genuinely think levinson singled her out because she's his muse. she held his hand throughout season one and two, they even came up with the idea of Malcolm and Marie together because she was bored during the pandemic. and then she got busy with other stuff so she can't sit there and cheerlead or inspire him in the same way.

and then maybe there's the fact that she doesn't even want to do that anymore or fill that role. the partner who kept him in line is gone, his wife doesn't have the same steady hand, she's found more creativity with other collaborators, and the drama with The Idol caused her to lose trust in him.

idk, maybe i'm just projecting but this is why i think he's singling her out over sydney and jacob who have never been the same type of collaborators like zendaya

I think your intuition is right that he has issues with women. Pushing out the female directors while behaving like he is responsible for any fame Zendaya has achieved and believes he should control her so ofc any backlash he would blame her for his own issues.
