A huge fear of mine was that the centrists that pushed Biden out would knife her in the back.

Instead everyone is coalescing and she's printing money.

I think Dems do understand the stakes of the election and REALLY want to win. They were pushing Biden out because they were looking at the polls and did NOT see a path to victory. I think that they believe Kamala has a chance.

I was super worried that this was going to drag out into a town hall to pick a nominee (if this was two years ago, sure - but we have NO TIME). But seeing everyone rally around her and raise all this money is so fucking energizing. FINALLY.

To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if some were going to try to push her out, especially when they started that "we need a mini primary" bullshit. But people rallied behind her SO quickly it probably took them by surprise and they realized they needed to fall in line or look stupid.

I could see a little indirect reference with a fun intro song choice working and being kind of cute once or twice but the green suit would be way too much. It’s incredibly difficult for a 60 year old politician to engage with pop culture memes in a way that doesn’t seem like out-of-touch pandering.
