July 19, 2024 Everybody’s favorite guilty pleasure summer show returned to CBS on July 17 with 16 new houseguests battling for the $750,000 grand prize. “Big Brother 26″ is scheduled to play out over the course of 90 days, concluding on October 13 - that’s down from last summer’s record of 100 days. So how did the season premiere play out on Wednesday night, and what twists were in store for the players?
The Big Brother 26 Wednesday + Thursday season premiere introduced the "17th" houseguest: AInsley.
AINSLEY is the name of the Artificial Intelligence entity in the Big Brother house this summer who will be influencing the house and introducing twists.
But these new hamsters have been playing the game since July 16 (Tuesday), so they have been busy.
Late (very late) after the July 18 episode, the live feeds finally got turned on. Many East Coast viewers were long asleep by then.
We quickly learned that Angela Murray became the first Head of Household. The real estate agent from California continues living out her lifelong dream of playing the game.
Nominations are currently taking place as of noon on Friday. It seems likely that she will nominate the showmance of Matt and Makensy after Chelsie revealed to Angela that MJ (Makensy), was talking about coming after Angela after her HOH was over.
