the polka medley with various songs is something he does every now and then. He has said in the past its not one of his favorite things to do, but longtime fans look forward to it so he keeps making them.

No specific point. He's done a lot of these medleys over the years and they're just one of the things he's known for now. They're genuinely a just fun mashups and a way to showcase his accordion skills/polka.
