Ashlee Simpson to release expanded edition of 'Autobiography'

Ashlee Simpson (Ross) has announced plans to release an expanded edition of her debut album, Autobiography, this Friday, July 20, 20 years after its original release.

Led by the Billboard Hot 100 Top 5 single "Pieces of Me," Autobiography was released by Geffen Records after Simpson was rejected by several labels assuming she wanted to emulate older sister Jessica's career.

Critical reception was mixed, but the album debuted atop the Billboard 200, propelled by the cross-promotion of MTV's The Ashlee Simpson Show. However, Simpson's now infamous lipsync flub on Saturday Night Live in October effectively torpedoed the remainder of the era.

In addition to its standard tracklist, the expanded edition of Autobiography will bring international bonuses "Harder Every Day," "Sorry," and "Endless Summer" to streaming for the first time.
