The final season of Cobra Kai is being released in three installments. The first five episodes are now streaming on Netflix. The next five episodes will be available on November 15. The final five episodes will be released on 2025.
[Spoiler (click to open)]Man, it's crazy how Johnny never learns anything. It seemed like the show wanted to portray Daniel in the wrong, but he and Amanda were right to stop the fight between Sam and Tory. Johnny losing his mother as an adult was painful for him, but Tory is a CHILD. And it was so out of character for Robby, Sam, and everyone else not to chase after her. I know they wanted Tory back with Kreese for drama, but jfc.
THIS, allll of this. Honestly I spent all five episodes seething and couldn't quite put my finger on what was making me so mad, and then it hit me-it's that Johnny never learns, grows only incrementally (if at all), and now has been given this perfect shining take two with his stand-in son's family and the new do-over baby with the (way younger) lady he's miraculously in a long-term relationship with after one hook-up. And he's never bothered to do a damn thing to make things right with Robby excep...t *checks notes* ...hug him one time after he lost the All Valley? It's gross and it's the middle-aged white guy fantasy (which isn't surprising considering the writers) and it makes me inexplicably angry at levels that are unhealthy considering it's a tv show. Also where the hell is Shannon (Robby's mom)?
idc for Hawk and Demetri's college drama.
Honestly Demetri has always given off quasi-incel vibes but this season there's no quasi- about it. I'm not really interested in his storyline at this point. Meh.
I hate being so negative about the whole thing, but this show's been on a letdown trajectory since season 4, and doesn't seem to be getting any better, and it bums me tf out.
I do love getting to see young!Kreese and Silver flashbacks though, so at least there's that!
[Spoiler (click to open)]It's been 6 seasons and we have yet to see Johnny, Robby, and Shannon all in the same room together lol I hope she makes an appearance before it's all over.
ia with pretty much everything you said. tbh I went into this season not expecting too much when it comes to Johnny's writing, but I didn't expect to get so annoyed to see him and Daniel still arguing so much.
ngl I side-eye the writers SO MUCH for giving Hawk and Demetri attractive, popular girlfriends and then writing out Aisha when she was Johnny's OG female student. All the scenes with Johnny and Devon these episodes easily could have been Johnny and Aisha scenes.
The actors playing young Kreese and Silver are perfect in their roles.
