July 17, 2024 For some reason, The Weeknd has decided to drop a random stadium show date in Sao Paulo, Brazil on September 7th.
It's not billed as part of the AFTER HOURS TIL DAWN tour, so this is presumably to kick off the start of his next album era.
The show will debut a “never-before-seen production,” according to the announcement.
Tickets are available starting Monday, July 22, with Artist Presale General Onsale Begins Thursday, July 25 at 10am BRT. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general onsale beginning Thursday, July 25 at 10am BRT.
Continuing with his philanthropic work, he will again partner with the U.N. World Food Program to contribute funds from the São Paulo show to the XO Humanitarian Fund, which supports the organization’s response to the global hunger crisis. $1 local equivalent from each ticket sold will go to this cause.
Abel last performed in South America for a string of shows on the final leg of the AFTER HOURS TIL DAWN TOUR last year.
The tour was supposed to go to Australia and New Zealand last year as well, with him even adding more shows due to demand, but the were postponed due to "unforeseen circumstances".
They would ultimately be cancelled outright months later with no reason given.

He packed out those stadiums last year in South America, but this seems odd to do a random one-off show (and a punch in the gut for Aussie/NZ fans who got the shaft).
The original tour poster for the AFTER HOURS TIL DAWN Tour had listed Middle East, Australia, Africa, and Asia as part of the tour plans. Liar!!
