A few bulletpoints:
- Dr. Puke, "alleged" rapist, produced and co-wrote it.

it's so mindless and stupid-if the only point was "look how toned and shiny I am" it would be fine, but why work with Dr Puke to achieve that?

idk it's almost as if she thinks she's the victim of people forgetting who she is because her quality in music/her level of relevancy has decreased so much, that she went off and found another person who thinks they're a victim of public perception.
Also probably because she clearly is just trying to push buttons thinking that any form of attention is good attention, and by doing this, she clearly is getting a lot of attention, even if it's extremely bad attention. It's getting her name back in the news. But just being in the news doesn't equal sales.

Exactly! This Vulture article agrees:
And this year, Perry needed a hit. She hadn’t reached the top ten since “Chained to the Rhythm,” the leadoff to her confusing 2017 album, Witness. Coincidentally, that was her first project without Luke, who was accused of sexual assault by Kesha in 2014 and had been lying low in the industry since. Other past collaborators like P!nk and Kelly Clarkson disavowed him, but never Perry. 2024 was starting to feel like a comeback year, with Perry leaving her role on American Idol and eyeing a redemption for her tepid showing on 2020’s Smile. So, allegations be damned, she needed her big gun to produce a new single and recapture some of their electric connection. Too bad that song, “Woman’s World,” sounds like the stalest sort of retread.
