oh god I'm so nervous. Long hiatuses can really kill a show, esp. if the previous season was great; we have too much time to let our expectations get really high. Plus all the bts drama...well, here's hoping. 😬

The producers hired an experienced co-showrunner for the creator before production started in season 1 (Severance is his first Hollywood project) but they quickly grew to hate each other and by season 2's production start date, they were basically refusing to work with each other enough that production temporarily was stopped before the strikes. Then the strikes didn't help. The co-showrunner they hired threatened to quit because of how bad things were going BTS and Ben Stiller had to step in to get them to work together.
