Good for her. Mask bans are just down right stupid. If you’re ill, you should wear a mask to keep others from getting sick.

I was at the doctors yesterday and I had to wear a mask because of my symptoms. I didn’t have covid/flu/RSV, but why risk getting someone else sick with something that would kill him.

Yes. The Qanon worms that ate the brains of lawmakers have decided that banning mask wearing is something that should be enacted. These were the people who were opposed to mask mandates during covid, the people who thought that their ~freedom~ was being taken away by the mask mandates. So now they are equating mask wearing to a being in a totalitarian state.

Not just Republicans, there are Dems advocating for mask bans like Karen Bass in California and Kathy Hochul in New York. They are claiming its because of crime but that is utter bullshit.

The irony of anyone in California wanting to ban masks when we literally have something called fire season every fall. The only reason I already had some N95 masks when the pandemic began is because I bought them specifically for bad air quality days during the annual fires. When the AQI is over 200, I am wearing a mask (sometimes even when I'm indoors).

I live in South Dakota (the freeest state of them all according to our dumb governor) here there was talk of mask bans. It was so ridiculous. You want to know another stupid law? We also have a ban on banning plastic bags. Yep you read that right. I hate living here....sigh

Here in LA they also want to cite “public safety” because protesters wear them (generally because large crowd=illness risk) and law enforcement don’t like that.

I would get it if it was from a standpoint of identifying someone breaking the law during a protest. But we live in a day and age where it’s pretty easy to ID someone even if they are wearing a mask. Dumbasses doing dumb shit will advertise their dumbness on social media and are pretty easy to find. Mixed with the fact that 99% of protestors are peaceful, it’s a flimsy excuse the cops use so they can after people.
