The only magazine i've ever subscribed to was Nickelodean Magazine back when i was a child

or to be more accurate my mother paid for it

also my grandparents on my moms side subscribed to an xbox magazine for some reason

probably to give us grandkids something to read while we spent time there

Nickelodeon magazine was awesome! I didn’t subscribe but sometimes my dad would buy it for me as a treat while grocery shopping.

I haven’t subscribed to a magazine in a while but for one year a long time ago I subscribed to probably 3 or 4 tabloid magazines at once (think US Weekly, InTouch) and they all came on the same day so I’d make it my treat for the week along with some take out pizza.

oh speaking of nintendo power

i'm pissed at nintendo because internet archive was forced to take off the entire collection of nintendo power off their site for some reason which is not fair for future readers who want to read about past nintendo games

what a load

nope they are not doing that

they are straight up just doing a "i'm taking my ball and going home"

they don't want people to look at these old magazines for free but they are not asking for a fee to pay to view them

it's just fuck you,you born in the 90's and weren't alive when we started the magazine

tooooo bad

fuck'em

as a little kid, it was nickelodeon, american girl, disney adventures, and disney adventures. in junior high, it was still disney adventures but i also got ym & seventeen. in high school, it was curve magazine (hello fellow sapphics), interview, and entertainment weekly

10 or so years ago, w and vogue started sending me issues for free for about two years but then they stopped. i liked looking through them but not enough to pay for it

also i've had the new yorker on and off for the last 20 years, but i get anxious if i'm behind and have a stack of unread issues. it comes every week. and even if they're off one week, that's because they printed a DOUBLE ISSUE. THAT'S TOO OFTEN. IT'S TOO MUCH.
