Google Burning Sun. He was part of that group. Not one of the main culprits that went to jail but he still watched at least one video and knew about it.

Rotten Mango on YouTube added some things I had not heard of before, especially with regards to the group chats (Some people find her a problem, but I don't know details). The more you read and more videos you watch on Burning Sun, the more you are horrified. And the responses some people had to the scandal when it broke... I think a member of a K-pop Rock group was caught up in it and his fans were asking another group member to be sympathetic and wait for him to return to the entertainment industry or something. Ugh...

The pop/rock person was Choi Jong Hoon, leader of FTISLAND. He got five years for participating in a gang rape (he denied it but admitted to being with the victim on the day) and ultimately did two and a half. There were some stirrings about him trying to get back into the entertainment industry this year, but I haven't heard much about it.

If it's FT Island then one of the members was one of the main culprits. The band in question really had one member that is most popular and he was being asked by fans to forgive etc and he replied saying there's nothing to forgive because that member is already dead to him (loosely translated) one of the few direct contacts to actually speak out against a culprit

FTI's leader Lee Hongki. fans were trying to get him to do the whole "we're brothers i believe in him" shit and he was like absolutely tf not, that shit is disgusting and he is nothing to me nor our band. he was like the only celebrity i saw who had any link to the situation actually say something.

I remember Lee Hong Ki and Hyori talking on a show yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaars ago about how they both used to be physically abusive to their partners because they thought that's how you were supposed to act in a relationship. Also talked about how he learned that that type of behaviour is wrong. When he was all "I eat well, I shit well" regarding getting rid of the Burning Sun member, I was happy to see that he was still on the path of basic decency and still outspoken about it.

If you want all the disgusting detail, the BBC documentary on the scandal should be available on youtube.

I personally couldn't finish it. Too horrible.
