Saw it today and yeah, I might say it's the weakest in the series, though it wasn't terrible. I guess bc the character spends so much time trying to evade trouble and not really taking action, as in X and Pearl? I enjoyed the supporting characters, but imo it wasn't as weird and thrilling as the others. And unless I'm forgetting something from X, the reveal of [Spoiler (click to open)]her dad as the villain just came out of nowhere and wasn't v satisfying. Not awful, but a disappointment to me.

The villain was definitely the weakest part of the film. Could've used 1 or 2 more drafts to get that part semi better.

[Spoiler (click to open)]There were a few bits with her father in X sermonizing and there was the reveal at the end that he was Maxine’s father but yeah I agree it was kind of abrupt.

This is exactly how I felt for those exact reasons. It was fine and I’m glad I saw it but definitely the weakest, although the goriest?

i knew exactly who the killer would be 5 mins in. it was the only outcome that made sense haha
