My mom refused to buy me a bra at age 13 bc she was a shitty mom (she refused to pay for what she called "overpriced elastic to hold up nothing" - thanks for that self- esteem boost. She is still heinous & heartless), my bio-dad had dipped and left me, her, and and my 1 y/o baby bro, and it was so much better without him, but shit like this happened.
I begged my gym teacher to let me go alone, so that I won't have to flash ths class tomorrow. She says I should be wearing a bra and that this would teach me "to be prepared" (for what?).
I described all my hard life circumstances in detail, she says our soldiers "wish they had the resources that [I] do" (she was obsessed with Bush and posted pro- war shit all over her little office) and that asshole gym teacher STILL says no.
And so the next day, as I own zero bras, I had to be topless in front of my whole 7th grade class and two teachers.
The class went from gossiping to SILENT bc I was the only bra-less one. I got made fun of even more all year and one girl actually sexually assaulted me but that same teacher did absolutely nothing about it. The bitch who sexually assaulted me later dropped her first name (it was ~Tiffany lmao, she was a few decades too late) and she works in the industry now. 🤮
And thag dumb fucking teacher was 100% wrong too - I have scoliosis! WHATTTTabitch!!!
some teachers are just outright bullies. no empathy for innocent kids having hard times or no money. I am sorry you had to go through that. I feel like that teacher should have gotten some kind of disciplinary action
