I don’t trust any pet owner that puts that much effort into one animal yet willing tosses the other two away as truly caring about their pet. Feels like a power move with the dog being just a tool.

I’m kind of envisioning them doing the “both call to the animals and see who they go to” and the cats looked at them disdainfully and went to their Uncle Vince who was there visiting because he’s low drama and slips them leftovers
