I'm kind of over everyone except for Jace, Baela, Rhaena, Helaena and Rhaenys tbh and that's probably because they barely have any screentime lol.
I know Rhaenyra told Baela not to do anything, but I really wanted her to burn Criston and the others so bad! Loved seeing the men shit themselves and Alicent's brother shaking and crying afterwards lol.
The scene with Rhaenyra and Alicent was really well acted, but kind of ridiculous lol - Rhaenyra was giving Hugh Grant in Paddington 2. Alicent being all "oops oh well" once she realized she had fucked up was stupid.
we mjssed out on the pact of ice and fire just so jace could stand around at luke’s funeral and then literally do nothing else for the last two episodes
I think that they're allowing Jace to simmer in uselessness until he boils over in frustration in 1-2 episodes. But even if this is how they wanted to portray Jace, it still would have been worthwhile to see him in action as his mother's envoy to really sell his value as crown prince. It would be doubly satisfying to see him throw hands at Rhaenyra for chaining him down when he was able to do so much for her.
Also, I don't care for the idea that the Starks would have supported Rhaenyra regardless because they always honor their oaths. The showrunners really just saw the Winterfell scenes as fanservice but Jace's friendship and pact with Cregan Stark is canonically a reason why he goes beyond the barest expectation of sending a few hundred men.

I'm still mad that Jace's northern diplomacy tour was barely touched on and that Cregan Stark was onscreen for less than 5 minutes.
