I also haven't actively watched since before George's death, so I can't recall what he did in depth.

Yeah, George had a lot of issues. He acted entitled towards women, especially Meredith, and cheated on Callie without much remorse. It's debatable how consensual his hookup with Mer was, as she was in a very vulnerable state and he seems to have taken advantage of the situation. And then was angry at her for being sad/avoidant over it. He usually didn’t take responsibility for his actions and was bad at communicating, which led to more drama and people getting hurt. Plus, he manipulated his friends and played the victim. Toxic little fucker overall.
