Imagine going from being outspoken about racism and refugees and stuff to joining the side of the colonizers. Wild shit.

I can only assume like Kanye she has had a psychotic break at some point, or else she is just going full right wing thinking that will keep her relevant (and failing) idk.

Saying someone had a psychotic break when they convert new religion is a bit much. That said, what other things has she said to make her on the same level as Kanye? Like truly, idek.

She said she became a Christian because Jesus Christ came to her in a vision, but tbh that sounds like what a lot of born agains say so I really don't know. It's obviously not just that she became a Christian given the 5G-blocking bucket caps, unless she is going the Russell Brand scamming Christian path.

Having an existential moment and finding religion doesn't quite equal a psychotic break. Whether she saw Jesus or her grandma/another fam member, I don't think it's odd she sought out answers and found some that fit her.

Could she be scamming? Could be so. All religion, every single one, is filled with scammers.

She performed at a festival I regularly go to but didn’t this year. She was apparently really weird at her set, going on rants about 5G, vaccines and tigers (which I think was a more oblique reference to the Tamil genocide). I think she genuinely believes in the first two.

I don’t think psychotic break really leads out a lot of context of her life. I might find her opinions to be pretty revolting (especially as someone who lost their grandmother to Covid) but I think when you consider her upbringing, experiences as a refugee, enduring diplo, etc. i have to stop short of calling it psychotic. It just seems like punching down as a description to an extent that makes me uncomfortable. Even one of the 3, I know I wouldn’t be cut out for so I feel more inclined to give her some grace vs. Kanye and I do agree with your points that it was the religion that caused it

"Having an existential moment and finding religion doesn't quite equal a psychotic break."

That sounds exactly like a psychotic break to me lmfao. If someone has an "existential moment" and sees a vision of rainbow brite riding a unicorn does that make it more or less likely to be a psychotic break?
