sympathy is a knife isn’t even really a diss track lol. the only line that’s kind of mean is about not wanting to see the subject of the song backstage at her boyfriend’s show, but in the context of the song being about how insecure the subject of the song makes charli because she’s so successful and powerful it’s a bit of a compliment.

good for charli for calling this behavior out!

but on the flip side, ive seen swifties say wildly homophobic things about charli’s fans so that also needs to stop. stan wars don’t need to involve racism or homophobia or death threats like this really isn’t that serious. as silly as arguing over chart positions is, that’s a million times more preferable.

Exactly. She's actually praising Taylor, like?

For someone as calculated as Taylor, you'd think she'd realize at some point that never calling out your fans is a bad look for you! Especially if when celebs call out theirs. But since Taylor wants to the armies ready for whenever she needs to attack and harass people she ignores the children's bullying.

Funny enough I saw a Taylor-related post on People magazine's IG and I think it was on this topic and a good chunk of the comments were commenting "cult" and "🐑" which is funny to see cause it's like okay somewhat validating that even people outside of stan twitter pick up on it too.

She's the architect of her own backlash.

Yeah I think a lot of other artists call their stans out? Off the top of my head I also remember Selena and Ariana did it recently, and while ONTD can argue over whether or not they really meant it they at least said something. I only remember Taylor saying it before Speak Now rerelease and only because John Mayer had started reposting the death threats Swifties were sending him publicly, so a lot of Swifties took it to mean don’t harass John but everyone else was fair game (which kills me bc John is awful! He deserves it more than Handsome Joe lol)

So I think she’s kind of starting to stand out due to the inaction while other artists are acting on their fans’ behavior.

She sticks out so bad cause I've never seen another artist that doesn't call out their fans!! Everyone does it!! But Taylor is the only one that actually encourages them!!

Lol the narcissism and unhealthy desire to be on top is her own downfall but watch the her fanbase and fauxmenists say it's misogyny or even a brand new type of misogyny that only exists for Taylor!! Which is hilarious to even think about for a BILLIONAIRE!! Lol she's not the underdog she wants to be!!

so taylor will scold her fans over john "my penis is a white supremacist" mayer and ratty healy, but she won't tell them to stop threatening dave grohl's teenage daughter. what a great person.

Fans are probably mad over Taylor’s UK album version release the week Brat was dropped. Which was 100% calculated but still not worthy of death-wishing.
