Anthony Mackie (Twisted Metal), Bowen Yang (Saturday Night Live), John Goodman (The Conners & The Righteous Gemstones), Kelsey Grammer (Frasier), Ricky Martin (Palm Royale), and Theo James (The Gentlemen) discuss overcoming fears, subverting expectations, and the emojis that define them in the Hollywood Reporter comedy actor roundtable hosted by Yvonne Orji.
Some highlights:
Someone recently told John Goodman how much she liked him on Cheers. Ricky Martin said a publication did a piece on him but used a picture of Enrique Iglesias. Anthony Mackie auditioned for the role of Marlo The Wire and didn't get the part, but people would stop him in public and ask to take pictures with him because they thought he was the actor who played Marlo. His kids don't watch Marvel movies so they aren't impressed when his costars call him. Kelsey Grammar's kids are most impressed by his voiceover roles. He refuses to use emojis.
