In 2018, Normani tweeted "I have my album title y'all."

A "fan" made sure to remind Normani every year for almost 6 years that she was "sick" for the long wait.

Now that the album is finally out, Normani celebrated with a cake with those tweets.

How's it doing chart-wise?

Granted that was expected since it took 6 years from it's initial announcement and so she lost a lotta potential steam along the way. BUT if she's smart she'd already be working on album 2 release it next year or something and build a fanbase with that. She might now get the mainstream success but she can build her own successful little corner. Now if she takes another 2+ years to release then yeah no girl.

She is probably getting dropped and they didn't want to waste money. This is messiest release in a long time, long wait, no videos, no promo, performances, not even lyrics video

But I saw a huge teaser trailer…was that not for future music videos? That was just a one time tease for the album???

Man, vinyls are expensive and I only buy ones that’s back to back hits but I was still curious on the packaging and shit…nothing. That’s crazy to me! That could’ve helped with charting.

She did some promo like a trailer and iirc a phone number you could last week but overall yeah not a lot.

Is she even promoting on late night/morning shows? radio interviews?

I doubt she's getting dropped. You can go to every single label website and see about 10 names that don't chart for each of them. Her budget might be decreased if she stays with RCA though.

Not good. I've seen some predictions that the album will chart on Billboard below 50. Closer to 100 maybe.

Streaming is dismal. First day was 2.8m: second day was half that.

No video for either single nor a live performance anywhere is baffling to me.
