I would be game for a Xena reboot/continuation ONLY if they fully embraced the campiness and queerness of the OG.

I agree and I would add not steering away from Xena and any Amazons, etc be buff/muscular. Like don't get me wrong Lucy Lawless had/has an amazing body but I wish media would let women have noticeable muscles more often

I do appreciate that they shot Lucy Lawless like a buff action hero - hiring shorter/smaller actors to put around her, shooting her from below, putting on massive armor to make her look giant and powerful. Would love to see some action women with serious muscles though, though not the mcu steroid kind.

The Amazons on that show looked like '90s underwear models most of the time. They need to go with the Wonder Woman (2017) look for them.

I feel like the closest thing we got in recent years was The Outpost, but nobody watched it. Willow tried too and was critically panned. I am not sure there is a market for that kind of low budget campy fantasy/comedy thing any more, seems like everything these days gotta be all epic and grimdark.
